IMPORTANT

Regulatory safeguard

Work-experience requirements vary by program. For B.C. certified institutions, the college must maintain the required work-experience policy, written agreements with students and host organizations, monitoring, suitable supervision and evaluation.

Co-op placements are paid and practicums are unpaid under the applicable regulation. PTIA supports implementation but cannot guarantee a job, host acceptance or placement.
